Bobcat Mother and Cub

Earlier this week, a mother bobcat and her cub decided to get a drink and cool off on the patio outside my office. The surprising part of the visit was that they practically ignored my daughter and I on the other side of the glass. It was as though they were so hot that they just couldn’t be bothered about us.

Once they cooled down a bit, the baby started playing. She jumped all over the mother and nipped at her repeatedly. And let me tell you, bobcat teeth are something to take seriously. That “kitten” was a bit larger than a typical house cat, but i’s fangs had me thinking more Bengal tiger than Garfield.

Thank goodness for double-paned glass.
